OVERVIEW

a. Design
For the design portion of the project, the analyses, drawings, and the proposal are meant to be completed. The three sections of the design process will be completed concurrently throughout the fall quarter with the report being due on the final day of class. The analyses will be completed at a rate of two per week, one drawing per week, and weekly updates to the project proposal.
b. Construction
The construction of the bridge will be competed in winter quarter with the final product being completed by week 10 of the quarter. The overall progress of the project should correspond with the time available in the quarter, the side trusses were planned to be completed by the seventh week of the quarter, the roadway and cross members were to be completed by the eighth week, and the articulation system being completed in the tenth week due to a sudden redesign. Throughout the quarter the various parts were completed as seen on the Gantt chart, with the proposed checkpoints being the completed sub assemblies.
c. Testing
The testing portion of the project spanned all of spring quarter but only 5 weeks were used for the actual testing of the device. This period spanned 5 weeks starting in April. The remaining time was spent of handling the changes to the report and updating them to reflect the results of the testing.
