Analysis three was meant to determine the minimum diameter of the pin that the roadway pivots upon. the minimum diameter was found by analyzing the pin in double shear during the rotation of the roadway being raised. The calculations showed that a diameter of 0.0118 mm would be sufficient for a stainless steel pin.
