Table 1: Results Summary

Overall, the project was a success. The bridge design met all of the primary goals seen in the table above as well as meeting the other design parameters like the roadway width being at leas 38 mm and the height from the abutments to the top of the roadway being under 12 mm. In addition the project came under the expected budget despite the changes to the design that added a new articulation system made of steel. The testing produced precise results in that the articulation tests and general tests produced repeatable values that were within the tolerances of error. The accuracy of the tests are less clear as the specific values for these tests were not predicted before hand with the exception of the weight held by the roadway. The predicted weight for the bridge to hold was calculated to be 220 lb during the design phase of the project but the value could not be tested as the required resources were not available. However, the accuracy with regards to a predicted value are not relevant to the success of the project as the goal was to meet or exceed the required attributes, which the design was able to do.
