Analysis 12.jpg

The final analysis of the project was to identify a type of glue to use in the joints of the bridge. The glue should be significantly stronger in terms of direct stress than the balsa wood to prevent failure from occurring prematurely. The minimum stress based off of the smallest expected joint size found the expected stress to be 1.51 MPa, which was found to be nearly 16 times less than the average for generic glue. Gorilla Wood Glue was used in the design because it was readily avaliable.
